Ebenezer Scrooge

He was squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner!

Hard and sharp as flint. At first he was a hard-hearted, selfish man who disliked Christmas, children or anything that brings happiness. The cold inside him chilled his old features, turned his sharp nose purple, wrinkled his cheeks, hindered his walking, reddened his eyes, turned his thin lips blue. He spoke shrewdly and with a harsh voice. It is assumed that you are a banker or some type of lender.

His surname has become synonymous with miser and misanthrope, in reference to Mr. Scrooge’s most characteristic traits. The story of his transformation after the visit of three Christmas ghosts (Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future) has become an icon of Christmas in some worlds. Scrooge’s phrase “Bah, humbug!” It is also often used to express distaste for the Christmas holidays.

From that moment on, Scrooge becomes a model of generosity and kindness, even currently working with Santa.

The psychological phenomenon of increased generosity and altruism following encounters with mortality or existential dread is called the “Scrooge effect”

Future World version

In the “Futuristic World“, near the kingdom of Santa Claus X, there is an old tombstone of one Ebenezer Scrooge. The tombstone identifies the plastic man as a “mean man.” This is, surely, either a joke or an unnamed person who had the characteristics for which Scrooge is remembered in the stories, being “Scrooge” used as a name for this type of toys.
