Army Men 3D Grey Colonel Mansion

Cajun Joe’s mansion (Grey Colonel)

The famous retirement mansion of the Gray Colonel “Cajun Joe”

Years before, this house was the mansion of one of the leaders of the Gray Regime. This place had their prominence in the first Army Men events (and the nearby locations in the Bayou Land), when the Tan, Gray and Green Armies fought for the control of a Portal found near Santa Plastico Cemetery, the first Portal recorded in history.

Bayou Campaign in Army Men PC events:

Sarge’s first Bayou mission is to eliminate yet another Blue spy and steal his message before the Tan can get their plastic hands on it. Sarge then must infiltrate a Grey base to retrieve the final Key, the third of a set of pieces to gain access to a mysterious weapon, the first Portal. He distracts the Tan and Grey by making them fight each other. Sarge kills a high-ranking Grey Colonel and he drops a note. The Greys overestimated the Tans‘ presence in the area. Sarge finds out that the Greys moved the Key to one of their prisons. He must kill the guards until one surrenders and gives him the info he needs.

The Grey soldier reveals that there are mines and defense towers set up around the prison that will block Sarge’s progress. Sarge successfully grabs the last Key. Now that the Greens have all three Keys, they need the Portal in which they go in. Luckily, a retired Grey Colonel will give the Greens all the info they need if they escort him safely out of his Mansion area. But first, he must save a squad of Green soldiers trapped in a make-shift prison. Sarge must then protect the AA Guns, which intercepts the Tan air forces, preventing them from destroying the Colonel’s Mansion.

The Colonel is escorted safely. Sarge then has to destroy three Tan tanks and rendezvous with The Colonel. The Colonel returns to his Mansion, and it’s up to Sarge to drive him in an armored Half-Track out of the area.

The Greens have prepared a Safehouse for the Colonel. Sarge drives him there while dealing with any Tan. The Colonel speaks about a cemetery (Santa Plastico). Without much persuasion, Sarge heads to the cemetery, the final resting place of all plastic life that died in the War. Sarge finds out that the Ancient Portal is underneath a statue in the Cemetery. Sarge bombs the statue, and uses the Keys to enter the Portal.

At that time “the Portal” was considered one of the most dangerous weapons, until it was destroyed in Army Men 2. The place was quarantined by Green Army, becoming a prohibited place.

Bayou Campaign in Army Men 3D PS1 events:

During the beginning of the campaign a nearby Gray weapon plant was taken over by the Tan. A Gray Colonel made a promise to the Green command that he will give them the last Key in exchange for their help.

But the Colonel was trapped in his Mansion, in the middle of a swamp area, and needed the help of Sarge to get him safely out of the area. The Tan even moved three tanks into the area to keep him in his Mansion.

Once the Colonel was safe, about to enter in the Half-Track that will extract him, he gave Sarge the third Key and information about its power. But the Colonel could get to the safe house because the road was blocked for vehicles. So Sarge and The Colonel proceed on foot, fighting his way across the Bridge leading to the location.

The Grey Colonel told to the Green Army the secret of the Keys. When put together, form a triangular device. The Keys open a Portal of unknown powers. The portal is near a Cemetery at the end of a south road of a town.
