Orange Soldier

Orange Army

The Orange were created during the Great War by the Reds, in collaboration with their Yellow allies.

This strategic move was aimed at bolstering their forces against the Gray Empire. Unfortunately, the treacherous Tans, who had separated from the Yellows and allied with the Grays, exterminated the Yellows.

Several years later the Tan Army nearly wiped out the Oranges. However, the Oranges managed to survive thanks to the intervention of the Reds.

The Orange Army currently focuses on explosives, especially remote-controlled missiles. The Rocket Launcher Trucks of the Red Army is their invention.

The Orange Nation is not a large or powerful entity. They have always been a smaller, more vulnerable faction within the Plastic World. Their survival has often depended on the support and protection of stronger allies, particularly the Reds.

The Orange Nation is among the most obscure nations in the Army Men continuity. They are first mentioned by name in Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2, when General Plastro is bragging about his plans to conquer all the nations in the Plastic World, including the Green NationRed Republic, and Blue Nation.

The Orange Nation’s standing in the world is never elaborated on further. However, Orange civilians can be seen in the Army Men: Toys in Space mission “Alien Onslaught.” They also finally appear physically in Army Men: RTS (Real Time Strategy), only serving as an extra nation into the conflicts, not involved in the campaign story.

An Orange American-Indian Cavalry warrior appears in the game Army Men Strike, and flamethrower turrets commanded by soldiers in Army Men Warfare.

Mastery of Fire:

The Orange Army Men have mastered the use of fire, a unique capability that sets them apart in the Toyverse. This mastery was achieved through the discovery of a special fire-resistant plastic material in the Real World (the world of humans). This material, known as PyroPlast, can withstand extreme temperatures, allowing the Oranges to safely deploy and operate more powerful flamethrowers without the risk of melting.

Special Fuel:

The Orange Army Men also developed a special fuel, InfernoGel, which is more durable and effective in combat. InfernoGel is a highly concentrated, slow-burning gel that provides a consistent and powerful flame, making their flamethrowers and turrets incredibly efficient and deadly. This fuel is derived from a combination of synthetic polymers and real-world chemical compounds, ensuring it remains stable and potent even in the heat of battle.

Historical Events:

Sarge’s Heroes 2:

The Oranges were saved from annihilation by the Reds. Despite this, they surrendered to the Tans, allowing their nation to be invaded and their resources exploited. This complex history led to their unexpected alliance with the Reds during the events of Army Men: Red Alert, while maintaining a contentious relationship with the Tans.

Army Men: Red Alert:

The Oranges became a powerful nation, thanks to the advanced weaponry shared by the Reds. This transformation went unnoticed by many, as the Oranges had been largely ignored. Their newfound strength played a crucial role in the conflict, as their strategic location allowed the Red Army to catch the Green Nation off guard from the rear, complicating the war for the Greens.

Army Men Warfare:

In Army Men Warfare, they introduced flamethrower turrets, a formidable addition to the Army Men arsenal.

The Frozen Alliance:

Captain Frost, leader of the Cyan Army, extended an olive branch, the symbol of peace with which the Greens formed the first alliance of nations in the Plastic World. The Aqua Marines and the Orange Army formed an alliance: the Cyan-Orange Pact or Fire & Ice Pact.

Together, they balanced fire and ice, forging the Real World’s first Elemental Nation. General Fire’s eye patch now bore a snowflake entwined with flames: a symbol of unity.

Current Status:

In the present Toyverse, the Orange Army Men are a formidable force, primarily due to their alliance with the Reds. They continue to play a significant role in the ongoing conflicts, leveraging their strategic position and the advanced weaponry provided by their allies. Despite their past vulnerabilities, the Oranges have proven to be resilient and resourceful, adapting to the ever-changing dynamics of the Toyverse.
