Sergeant Victoria

The first female Officer of the Green army

“Army Men, … strike!” – Victoria

In the heart of the Real World, where the sun cast long shadows across suburban lawns and children’s laughter echoed through the streets, there existed a hidden realm. It was a place where forgotten toys came alive, their plastic bodies infused with magic and purpose. Among these animated relics, Victoria emerged… a soldier born not of the Plastic World, but of the very fabric of reality itself: the Real World.

Victoria’s Valor

Victoria stood at a mere two inches tall (5 cm), her english-green uniform crisply pressed, and her red pistol holstered at her side. She was no ordinary toy; she was an officer, a commander in the clandestine war waged by the Army Men Strike Team (AMST). Her mission: to protect the innocence of toy childhood, to ensure that the battles fought on bedroom floors remained playful and safe.

The Tale of the Red Pistol

The story of the red pistol began with a fallen hero, a soldier named Captain Redford. In the Plastic World, Captain Redford had led the valiant Red Army during the Great Army Men World War with the Grey Empire, later defending their miniature landscapes from the tyranny of the Tan Republic. His uniform was adorned with medals earned in skirmishes across the living room carpets, and his helmet bore the scratches of countless adventures.

Captain Redford’s last battle was fought on the edge of the kitchen counter. The Tan Troopers had launched a daring assault, their tiny tanks rolling over crumpled paper towels and discarded candy wrappers. The fate of the Plastic World hung in the balance. Captain Redford rallied his troops, shouting orders above the clatter of falling utensils.

But destiny is a fickle thing, even for plastic heroes. Weak and full of holes from enemy fire, a stray gust of wind (a mere breath from the Real World) toppled Captain Redford from his precarious perch. He plummeted to the linoleum below, his plastic body shattering into fragments. The Red Army wept, their tears made of forgotten different shades of red.

After all of this, in the hallowed toy chest of forgotten relics, where memories mingled with dust, there lay a relic… an old, scarred red pistol. Its plastic grip bore the weight of battles long past, and its trigger had been pulled by hands both real and imagined. But this was no ordinary toy gun; it was the heart of Captain Redford’s courage.

Among the debris, years later, Victoria discovered the red pistol. It lay beside Captain Redford’s broken form, its barrel chipped but its spirit unyielding. Victoria cradled it in her tiny hands, feeling the weight of history. She knew that this was no ordinary weapon; it was a relic infused with the essence of courage and determination.

Victoria’s imagination stirred. She envisioned Captain Redford’s final moments… the defiant stand, the rallying cry, the desperate pull of the trigger. And so, she made a solemn vow: she would carry on his legacy. She would wield the red pistol not as a mere toy weapon but as a symbol of hope.

But how did a plastic soldier from the Real World inherit the weapon of a fallen hero from the Plastic World? The answer lay in the magic that permeated the forgotten toys. When Victoria held the red pistol, she felt Captain Redford’s spirit… the echo of battles fought, the laughter shared, and the dreams spun from stardust. This feeling went up his hand and then up his arm, when she touched the gun.

Victoria’s comrades (Murphy and Iron Will) gathered around her. They too sensed the pistol’s significance. Together, they formed an unbreakable bond… a trio of misfit heroes, each carrying a piece of the Plastic World’s legacy.

And so, years later (2012), Victoria became the Green Army’s new commander. She led her troops into battles against the Night Shadows, her red pistol blazing. The Tan Troopers quaked in fear, for they sensed the spirit of Captain Redford within her. The Real World and the Plastic World blurred at the edges, and imagination flowed like a river between them.

Victoria never forgot her fallen predecessor. She whispered his name during moonlit patrols and traced the cracks on the red pistol’s surface. She knew that bravery transcended dimensions and that even a two-inch soldier could carry the weight of a hero’s sacrifice.

Their stories are etched into the fabric of The Makers’ childhoods… the tales of courage, camaraderie, and the magic that binds us all.

The Legend of Victoria:

Victoria’s origin was shrouded in mystery. Some whispered that she had been crafted by a skilled toymaker, imbued with courage and loyalty. Others believed she had materialized from the dreams of a child who longed for adventure beyond the mundane. Regardless of her genesis, Victoria’s purpose was clear: to defend the Real World from the encroaching darkness.

Her red pistol, a relic from a forgotten game of cops and robbers, held more power than its plastic form suggested. It fired imagination, determination, and hope. When Victoria aimed it at the unseen threats that lurked in the corners of bedrooms, she saw not mere adversaries but the embodiment of fear itself. Each pull of the trigger sent ripples through the fabric of reality, reinforcing the fragile barrier that separated the mundane from the magical.

Murphy, her loyal comrade, was a grizzled veteran with a chipped helmet and a missing arm. He had seen battles in forgotten attics and dusty basements, and his eyes held the weight of countless skirmishes. Iron Will, on the other hand, resembled a miniature 80s movie War hero. Together, they formed an unlikely trio: the seasoned soldier, the battle-scarred hero, and the enigmatic officer.

Victoria’s command post was a discarded shoebox tucked beneath a bed. Why such fragile material and such an unstrategic place?: because no one would search in that place, since those boxes usually stink like human. There, she pored over maps drawn on notebook paper, strategizing against the encroaching forces of the Night Shadows, a malevolent faction of ugly toys led by the nefarious Dust Bunny General. The stakes were high: if the Night Shadows breached other worlds or travel in time, nightmares would spill forth, and human’s childhood innocence would be forever tainted, preventing the Army Men from being created by that solely idea. All this in theory, of course. Nobody knows what would happen if time travel was possible.

Other Victoria versions

The Battle of the Nightstand Redux:

One moonless night, as the household slept, Victoria led her troops into battle. The Night Shadows had amassed near the nightstand, an imposing structure that loomed like a fortress. Armed with cotton swabs and toothpick swords, the Army Men Strike force charged. Murphy’s missing arm was replaced with a new powerful golden one, and Iron Will donned a tin-foil helmet.

Victoria’s red pistol blazed, firing bursts of determination. The Dust Bunny General’s forces faltered, their malevolence dissipating like morning mist. But then, from the shadows, emerged a formidable adversary: the dreaded Under-Bed Monster. Its eyes glowed with forgotten fears, and its claws were made of lost socks and glue made of expanded polystyrene and naphtha.

Victoria stood her ground. She raised her pistol, aiming not at the monster but at the memories it represented—the bedtime stories, the whispered secrets, the comfort of human parent’s voice. With resolute she pull of the trigger, she banished the Under-Bed Monster back to the depths from whence it came.

Victoria’s Legacy:

And so, Victoria became a legend, a tiny sentinel who safeguarded the sense childhood wonder from the long lost humans. Her story was etched into the annals of toy lore, whispered by action figures and plush animals alike. Generations of children would unknowingly invoke her name during playtime, their imaginations fueled by the echoes of her bravery.

As for her red pistol, it remained holstered, a symbol of hope and resilience. Victoria knew that the war would never truly end, but she stood ready, her plastic heart beating with purpose. For as long as children dreamed and toys came alive, she would be there—a silent guardian of the Real World.

She fights not for glory or conquest but for the intangible magic that binds us all, the magic of childhood, where even a two-inch soldier can change the course of destiny.
