Army Men Expeditionary Force

Exploration, Cooperation and Dissuasion before Confrontation

The dissuasion and cooperation model adopted by the Army Men Alliance requires maintaining an adequate military projection to react to disasters and to participate with a certain level of prominence in international & worldwide requirements. This capacity must contribute to achieve a dissuasion for the enemies and act effectively in a crisis or war that threatens territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Plastic World and the Toyverse. To achieve this, the Alliance was able to develop the capacity to form an Army Men Expeditionary Force (AMEF).

AMEF – Army Men Expeditionary Force

This is an Alliance military joined force with logistical self-sufficiency and the ability to deploy over long distances and to other worlds, for a defined period of time, to fulfill a mission. But the main task of this force is the exploration of new worlds.

The structuring of this force should materialize considering the development of capabilities whose versatility allow them to act in three vectors of different actions:

  1. Operations in crisis and war situations.
  2. Operations of cooperation, emergency or catastrophe.
  3. Exploration operations.

  1. Crisis and war operations are linked to traditional roles carried out by the armed forces of each nation, but in this case forming an Alliance with the other armies, through the exclusive attributes of maritime, air and land power, which is specified in the specific capacity to project power from land, sea and air to other worlds. The level of credibility of the effectiveness in this vector of action affects directly in the dissuasion that considers the security model adopted for the Alliance: Dissuasion before confrontation.
  2. The operations of cooperation makes it possible to materialize the commitments assumed by the Alliance’s foreign policy towards foreign communities at the bilateral, regional and global levels. This commitment, which is inserted in the new roles that AMEF could take on, can cover a wide variety of situations involving the use of military means both in operations of non-war (non-Combat), which are seen as having a greater probability of occurrence, such as the maintenance of peace, solidarity support and catastrophes natural and non-natural, as well as in war operations, which seem less probable, and which include the imposition of peace, restoring stability in a world or acting in collective defense.
  3. “Explore strange new worlds; seek new life and new civilizations; boldly go where no plastic man has gone before”.
Why do the Army Men now want to “boldly go where no plastic man has gone before”?. The answer is very simple: Curiosity & Purpose.
When any intelligent being loses what it believes is “its purpose for existing”, it stops to think and consider things never thought before. This triggered the collective interest of the Army Men in going further, but without leaving the roots of their existence: Be unite to explore and to face greater enemies to end the tyranny of all worlds. Allow order, progress and above all, not end up extinct like humans. To do this, the natural order must be maintained in all worlds so that no imbalance changes the balance of power.

Curiosity & Purpose

Apparently the Army Men were created in the days after the start of World War II in the 20th century, when humanity, and primarily humanity, was expanding the frontiers of science faster than ever before. In fact the rise of the Army Men as toys in the Real World was during the space race, when it was reaching a critical point, which is a shame it basically ended with a landing on the Moon…

And the Army Men, knowing who their creators were, wanted to capture that “spirit of adventure” and the curiosity of human popular culture with science, based on one of the greatest fictional works of science fiction in human history, which perfectly reflected the desire that made humans special: curiosity, an idea that drives everything positive they had… and that never came to materialize before they become extinct.

In this specific work of fiction, the fantastic story spoke of a future where humanity had survived self-destruction, overcome its differences and problems, being united to explore the universe, doing good actions wherever they went.

The context of the past

In the past, brutal wars prevented Army Men from investigating or even developing interests other than fighting, defending, destroying, etc. During the constant wars, it was insisted that any Research have a specific, discernible return on investment.

It’s sad that almost all of the Army Men’s major advances in the 20th century, like humans, came from research during wars to increase their chances of defeating the enemy.

Indulging scientific curiosity, regardless of whether there is a financial reward or not, was unthinkable (The reward is knowledge itself that maybe can’t have a military purpose).

Now that for several years the Army Men had the time to think, freed from constant conflicts, they became curious about the universe in which they live; not only the Plastic World, but the other worlds that they could access using the Portals, but above all the immensely vast and complex Real World. Interests like who was out there; about what they knew, what they did, why they created the Army Men. But beyond “wanting to meet the Maker and answer all the questions”, today it’s more about how the universe works. So the Army Men banded together and ventured where no toy had gone before just to go there… and so that the news media has something to talk about and thus keep the Plastic World society entertained (lol).

Final thoughts

AMEF – Army Men Expeditionary Force
  • The ability to structure an AMEF that characterizes an Expeditionary Army, generates a multiplier effect of effectiveness and efficiency in its
    act in all mission areas.
  • The capabilities, attributes and potential of a modernly structured AMEF give it effectiveness and employment efficiency in different operating scenarios.
  • The security scenarios of the present and the future, and the phenomenon of Toyverse globalization, add special characteristics to the physiognomy of the modern conflict, whose new threats far exceed the individual capacities of nations to counteract them, which makes cooperative, coordinated and multilateral responses necessary, framed in a scenario of multinational and transnational security, for which AMEF it’s especially suitable.
  • The capacity of the AMEF to generate deterrent effect and the attributes that they provide ideal conditions to materialize a wide spectrum of international operations, positioning them as valuable instruments for achieving the principles and interests defined by the Alliance’s foreign policy.
  • The potential for development and contribution of productive well-being in the Plastic World and the Real World, together with the expected effects of the continuous changes in the worlds scenarios, will demand special concern to capitalize on its development possibilities, which must translate into an active naval, air and ground presence and the ability to respond in the short term, in the face of a specific situation, with the Alliance’s means of projection in the universal toy society.
  • In a national defensive/dissuasion strategy, it is not easy to understand the relevance of a strategy naval, air and ground focused only on the control of the sea, air and land. In this sense, an example is that it’s considered advisable to provide naval power with a real and credible projection capacity on land. To this end, certain navies have enhanced two capabilities important: long range weapons to accurately strike important ground targets from the sea and a flexible and rapidly deployable AMEF.
  • Due to its conditions, the AMEF must constitute the main and essential basis in the structuring of a dissuasion defense, which in the long term is seen as the best alternative to develop an expeditionary capacity internationally, for the following reasons:
    ◦ It would contribute significantly to the security model of dissuasion and cooperation of each nation, both because of the capabilities inherent to a joint navy, airforce and ground force because it reflects a high degree of cooperation and interoperability of the armies, which generates a multiplier effect throughout the rest of the war operations and a strong dissuasion effect for potential adversaries.
    ◦ It adjusts to current trends that jointly promote Alliance projects, achieving greater relevance as the development of inter-institutional forces.
    ◦ For the Alliance, a joint project that has concrete potential beyond the field of defense, as is the case of AMEF by contributing to the Alliance’s foreign policy and social support for isolated and island areas, results in a high valuation and convenience.
  • Due to their contribution to the Alliance’s foreign policy and the multiplicity of mission areas that AMEF can carry out, the development of this type of forces is highly desirable based on the structuring of an AMEF appropriate to the conditions of the Alliance as a Plastic World group.
  • The fact of having an AMEF adequately structured in the face of future scenarios will allow nations to have a political, diplomatic and strategic tool that will contribute effectively and efficiently to the materialization of the security model of dissuasion and cooperation adopted by all of the nations members of the Alliance, to the achievement of the principles and interests of the Allied foreign policy and to the internal needs that may be generated in situations of catastrophes and the consequent need for solidarity support throughout the Allied territory.
