Where was the Violet Nation all this time? They were not destroyed by Plastro, as was believed years before.
Initially, the Violets were a small but highly skilled faction known for their strategic prowess and advanced technology. But they were later known to have survived longer than any other Army Men nation, and the annals of history will credit them with passing that knowledge on to the Army Men Alliance.
History of the Violet Nation
This comprehensive overview of the Violet Nation’s history and characteristics highlights their unique strengths and contributions to the Toyverse, ensuring their legacy as a resilient and strategic force.
The Violets are a creation of the Blues, also using Red plastic during their alliance with the Red, Yellow and Greens, to defeat the Gray Empire during the Great Army Men War.
Origins and Early Days
The Violet Nation, often overshadowed by the more prominent Green and Tan armies, has a rich and complex history that dates back to the early days of the Tanic-Greeno wars. Like the other minor nations, they never even came close to competing with less powerful nations like the Blues and the Grays. Therefore, they never sought out conflict.
The Tanic-Greeno Wars
During the Tanic-Greeno wars, the Violets played a pivotal role in several covert operations. Their expertise in espionage and sabotage, thanks to the Blue Nation teachings, made them invaluable to the Green & Tan armies. Despite their smaller numbers, the Violets’ contributions were significant in turning the tide of some battles. They were known for their stealth missions, often infiltrating other nations bases to gather intelligence or disrupt enemy operations. All this in exchange for being left alone, guaranteeing both neutrality and their non-participation in conflicts.
The Rise of Plastro
As the Tan Army, led by the ruthless General Plastro, grew more aggressive after Sarge’s Heroes events, the Violets found themselves increasingly targeted. Plastro recognized the threat posed by the Violets’ advanced technology and strategic capabilities. In a series of brutal campaigns, the Tan Army launched relentless attacks on Orange, Red, Cyan and Violet Nations, aiming to eliminate them as a threat once and for all. They never could with the Red, but they focused on the Orange, Cyan and Violet, with the Violet Nation being destroyed after refusing to follow the Orange & Cyan in surrendering to the Tan.
The Violets reappear on the scene
In the beginning of the events of Army Men: Red Alert (post Sarge’s War), Hawk rescues a Violet soldier while seeking revenge against the Tan Army, who he blames for turning a Green Officer into the Tan Lord Malice. The Violet soldier takes Hawk to their base in the Real World, explaining that the Violets fled there to escape Plastro’s conquest, leaving some behind to deceive the Tans.
The Violet Army asks Hawk to represent them i talks to form an alliance with the Greens. Hawk agrees and offers to turn the wounded Violet soldier into a Super Soldier. They travel to GAARD, where General Lilac shares more about the Violets’ history. At GAARD, Hawk, who has been AWOL, negotiates the Violet soldier’s transformation in exchange for his return to service. The Greens reluctantly agree, using the last of the Super Soldier serum to transform the dying soldier into a new kind of Super Soldier.
With the alliance forming, Hawk is tasked with investigating the Tan’s time machine, leading a Violet platoon of G1 soldiers, including the newly transformed Super Soldier “Bruise” and a Violet female officer named Juliet. This sets the stage for the events of Army Men: Red Alert.
The Exodus to the Real World
Faced with the imminent threat of annihilation in the hands of the Tan, the Violets made a desperate decision. Utilizing newly discovered portals to the Real World, they began a mass exodus, leaving behind a small contingent to mislead the Tan Army into believing they had been wiped out. This strategic retreat allowed the majority of the Violet population to escape to the Real World, where they could regroup and rebuild in secrecy.
The portals to the Real World took the toys to a gigantic continent that stretched for an infinite number of centimeters from north to south, so the Violets evacuated that evolving war zone to the north, going on foot to the south in an exodus of proportions only read in the most epic human literature, and after a few years, with great difficulty, they arrived. Although they were still leaving small contingents along the way. They chose to hide in a zone of zelva that not even the humans before disappearing had fully explored, a perfect area to never be found by the belligerent toys that were now taking over this abandoned world.
Life in the Real World
In the Real World, the Violets established hidden bases, adapting to their new environment while maintaining their military readiness.
Their capacity for technological inventiveness made them use the resources of the Real World for new inventions, which later made them the masters of technological advancement in the Big World.
They continued to monitor the events in the Plastic World, staying informed about the ongoing conflicts between the Greens and Tans. The Violets’ decision to remain hidden was driven by the need to protect their people and preserve their advanced technology from falling into enemy hands.
But staying hidden from the belligerent toys didn’t mean a peaceful existence: they had to deal with the monstrously giant fauna of the Real World. But after years of dealing with the animals and insects, the Violets mastered the art of forming a mutually beneficial alliance with them, called “symbiosis”.
The Return to the Plastic World
The events of Army Men: Red Alert marked a turning point for the Violet Nation. With the emergence of new threats and the potential for alliances, the Violets decided to re-engage with the Plastic World. Their encounter with Hawk and the subsequent alliance with the Green Army, regretting the mistake of trusting the Tans in the past, signaled a new chapter in their history. The transformation of a wounded Violet soldier into a Super Soldier symbolized their resilience, determination and evolution to fight back against the Tan Army.
The Violet Nation after the Red Alert events
Alliance with the Greens
After the events of Army Men: Red Alert, the Violet Nation solidified their alliance with the Green Army. This partnership was built on mutual respect and a shared goal of defeating the Tan Army. The Violets brought their advanced technology, strategic expertise on the Real World and the ability not to dominate, but to cooperate with animals to the table, while the Greens provided strength in numbers and military resources. Together, they formed a formidable coalition capable of facing any threat.
Teaching Symbiosis
One of the most significant contributions of the Violets to the Green Army was the art of symbiosis. Having mastered the ability to form mutually beneficial alliances with the giant fauna of the Real World, the Violets began teaching these techniques to the Greens. This knowledge allowed the Green Army to utilize the local wildlife for reconnaissance, transportation, and even combat support. The Greens learned to work alongside animals and insects, creating a unique and powerful synergy that enhanced their military capabilities.
Technological Advancements
The Violets’ Real World advanced technology continued to play a crucial role in their alliance with the Greens. They shared their innovations in stealth technology, surveillance, and weaponry, significantly boosting the Greens’ operational effectiveness. The Violets’ expertise in espionage and sabotage also proved invaluable, allowing the coalition to conduct covert operations against the Tan Army with greater precision and success.
Rebuilding and Expansion
With the threat of the Tan Army diminished, the Violets focused on rebuilding their nation. They established new settlements in both the Real World and the Plastic World, ensuring their people had safe and secure places to live. The Violets also expanded their influence, forming alliances with other minor nations and fostering a network of cooperation and mutual support.
Continued Vigilance
Despite their successes, the Violets remained vigilant. They knew that the Tan Army, or other emerging threats, could rise again. The Violets continued to train their soldiers, develop new technologies, and strengthen their alliances. Their history of survival and resilience served as a constant reminder of the importance of preparedness and unity.
Legacy and Future

Despite being forced into hiding, they never lost their resolve to protect their people and contribute to the greater good. This history of the Violet Nation highlights their journey from a small but skilled faction to a resilient and strategic force, adapting to new realities while maintaining their core values and strengths.
The Violet Army is the executor arm of its nation. But they were never focused on war… but on defense.
The Violet Army was never focused on war, but neither on peace. It was always a defensive army, one of strategy rather than frontal combat.
“Whenever violence can be avoided, everyone is guaranteed to win.” – General Lilac
Being offspring of the Blue Army Men and their ways of thinking, the Violet Army evolved with relatively few military conflicts. And while conflicts catapult and accelerate new discoveries, the lack of them also helped them evolve in their own way, achieving different results.
Strategic Brilliance
The Violets are known for their strategic brilliance. They excel in planning and executing complex operations, often using their advanced technology and intelligence-gathering capabilities to outmaneuver their enemies. Their ability to think several steps ahead makes them formidable opponents on the battlefield.
Advanced Technology
The Violets possessed some of the most advanced technology of the Army Men during the Tanic-Greeno conflicts.
From stealth devices to sophisticated weaponry, their innovations give them a significant edge in combat. They are also skilled in espionage and sabotage, using their technological prowess to gather intelligence and disrupt enemy operations, something learned from the Blue. Even if they try to get away from their Blue roots, they still carry that in their plastic.
Symbiosis with Fauna
One of the new unique characteristics of the Violets is their ability to form symbiotic relationships with the giant fauna of the Real World. This skill allows them to utilize animals and insects for various purposes, including reconnaissance, transportation, and combat support. Their deep understanding of the natural world enhances their strategic capabilities.
Resilience and Ingenuity
The Violets are incredibly resilient and resourceful. Despite facing near annihilation, they managed to survive and rebuild, adapting to new environments and challenges with unique and out-of-the-ordinary ideas.
Their ingenuity and determination have allowed them to thrive in both the Real World and the Plastic World (some time later.
Although we could admit that one of their secret weapons was always to keep a low profile. Not drawing attention to themselves and not getting involved in conflicts gave them time to prepare for the challenges of the modern world.
Commitment to Peace and Cooperation
While the Violets are skilled warriors, they are also committed to peace and cooperation. They prefer to avoid conflict when possible, seeking alliances and partnerships to achieve their goals. Their history of neutrality and non-participation in conflicts reflects their desire to protect their people and contribute to the greater good.
Heavy Weapons
Always focused on defense, the Violets have focused on heavy weaponry, especially weapons that finish off the enemy from a long distance, allowing them to end conflicts before they start, not only by destroying the enemy before they arrive, but also by dissuading them from attacking.
While they don’t focus too much on projectiles like homing missiles, the reality is that they prefer to fill the projectile with as much explosives as possible, and focus on the computer or specialist focusing on the target coordinates. That’s why we could say that their heavy weapons are a mix between a bomb and a rocket.
