Tan Army’s best team of troops
It’s the only squad of original Tan soldiers (G1) of its kind, recruiting only the very best. It’s a group with very demanding requirements for membership, especially for soldiers with extensive experience and a proven track record of surviving numerous conflicts. Its current leader is Little Man.
Foundation
The group was assembled by Plastro after the disappointment of the Tan and Grey squads’ defeat during Sarge’s initial Portal incident.
Having selected the best of the best, Plastro headed toward the newly discovered Real World, sending the “Tan-go” ahead.
Once on the other side, Major Mylar detonated the portal’s entrance, trapping Plastro and the team.
Sarge ambushed them upon arrival, but was forced to retreat when ammunition dwindled and the situation became untenable.
This special squad was trapped on the other side of the parallel dimension, along with Plastro, with no way back. So they dedicated themselves to pursuing Sarge and his men. Then they also had to face Major Mylar’s forces, finally finding their way back when he was defeated by Sarge.
By taking with them the first weapons and living carbon beings from the Real World to the Plastic World, thus beginning the armament era of weapons imported from the other world.
Last Battle
The third campaign of the Sarge’s Heroes GBA events saw the Green Army launching an offensive against Fort Plastro. Sarge Hawk infiltrated the fort to open it to the Green troops waiting at the main entrance. While the Green Army took control of Fort Plastro, Sarge and Colonel Grimm headed to the portal located within the fort, as Grimm needed to see this other dimension with his own eyes. The portal within the fort led to a garage, where Sarge and Grimm took the Tan Army’s best team, the TAN-go Team Battalion, hostage. Grimm oversaw the transport of the POWs.
Liberation
When the amnesty with the Tan Army was signed during the founding of the Army Men Alliance, the TAN-go Team Battalion was released.
Despite the peace, this special forces team experienced some tension as they had to work closely with their new allies, the Green Army. But in the long run, they were able to adapt.
