Army Men Team Assault mission 5

Submarines

Undetectable Acuatic Plastic Toy Predators

Submarines are crafted entirely from durable, high-quality plastic. These submarines are a crucial part of the Army Men’s naval fleet, designed to be undetectable by enemy radar due to their non-metallic construction. This stealth capability gives them a significant advantage in underwater reconnaissance and surprise attacks.

Design and Features

Material: Made from lightweight, yet sturdy plastic, these submarines are buoyant and easy to maneuver.

Size: They come in various sizes, from small, agile scout subs to larger, heavily Action Figures size armed attack submarines.

Armament: Equipped with plastic torpedoes and miniature depth charges, these submarines are formidable opponents in underwater combat.

Propulsion & Energy source: Powered by small, battery-operated engines, they can navigate the waters of the Plastic Worlds with ease. Currently, batteries are rechargeable, and can be charged with solar energy using panels that the submarine can use when surfacing or staying at a shallow depth. Although the latter results in a much slower charge.

Evolution and Diversity

When the Army Men discover portals to other worlds, such as the Real World, the diversity of their submarines expands significantly:

Advanced Technology: Exposure to Real World technology introduces features like sonar, advanced navigation systems, and more powerful propulsion methods.

Hybrid Submarines: Combining plastic with Real World materials like metal and advanced composites, these submarines are more robust and capable of deeper dives. But by using metals they lose the ability to go undetected.

Here’s a list of super-strong materials that don’t contain any metals, which could help maintain the stealth of submarines in the Toyverse:

  1. Graphene: Made from pure carbon, this material is extremely strong and lightweight. 3D graphene is ten times stronger than steel.
  2. Carbyne: An exotic form of carbon that is even stronger than graphene. It consists of a one-dimensional chain of carbon atoms and is highly reactive.
  3. Aerographite: A synthetic foam made from a porous network of carbon tubes. It is one of the lightest structural materials and could be useful for underwater applications.
  4. Aerogel: Also known as graphene aerogel, it is the lightest material in the Toyverse with an extremely low density.
  5. Carbon Fiber: Lightweight and extremely strong, it was used in the aerospace industry and in the manufacturing of high-performance cars.
  6. Ultra-strong Polymers: Used in the manufacturing of wear-resistant components in the human automotive industry.

These materials are not only super strong but also lightweight and metal-free, making them ideal for maintaining the stealth of submarines in the Toyverse.

Specialized Submarines:

Stealth Submarines: Enhanced with Real World stealth technology, making them even harder to detect.

Exploration Submarines: Equipped with scientific instruments for exploring the depths of new worlds.

Combat Submarines: Armed with advanced weaponry from the Real Worlds, these subs are ready for any battle scenario.

Integration with Other Worlds

As the Army Men explore and integrate with other worlds, their submarines become more versatile and sophisticated (or less).

Medieval World: Submarines are retrofitted with medieval aesthetics, like dragon-shaped hulls and decorative armor, blending the old with the new.

Prehistoric World: Submarines are adapted for underwater exploration of prehistoric oceans, equipped with tools for studying ancient marine life. In order not to interfere with the normal evolution of this world, submarines are camouflaged as prehistoric animals or natural water hyacinths.

Future World: In the Future World, submarines are at the cutting edge of technology, featuring AI navigation, energy shields, and plasma torpedoes. They are also capable of navigating in outer space (although it is impossible for them to go from ground to the atmosphere on their own).

Strategic Importance

Although the new weapons and technologies brought from the Real World relegated its strategic importance and technological capacity, Submarines remain a vital part of the Army Men’s strategy across all worlds. Their ability to remain undetected and strike from below makes them indispensable in both offensive and defensive operations. The evolution of their submarines reflects the Army Men’s adaptability and ingenuity in leveraging the resources and technologies of the worlds they encounter.
