News reporter, Bravo Company Commandos only girl and the adventurer aka “Portal Runner”
Vikki Grimm was the daughter of the late Colonel Jack Grimm and the main love interest for Hawk when he was Sergeant of the Green Army.
Vikki is a beautiful, sexy, independent, hard working young plastic woman whom is one of the top reporters for the Green Army’s newspaper, Green Star News and later, Green Plastic News.
Raised solely by the Colonel, she has spent her whole life as an army brat traveling to different military bases around the world. Since Colonel Grim was Vikki’s only role model, Vikki followed his every move and grew up to be a very tough, confident, and strong plastic woman.
Is the main protagonist of Portal Runner, and a supporting important role throughout Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes and Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2. She is the main love interest of Sgt. Hawk. She is also a reporter for Green Army News and Green Plastic News.
Vikki is the ace reporter for the Green Army News and Col. Grimm’s daughter. When she’s not “working a story” or searching for “the shot,” she’s fighting against the Tan to insure the Green Nation’s freedom.
Vikki bios from Sarge’s Heroes to Portal Runner

Vikki lost her mother at an early age. Since then, she’s became an ace reporter and the love of Sarge’s life. But according to her father, Colonel Happy Jack Grimm, since her mother died Vikki began to emphasize her anarchist attitudes against the orders her father gave her.
She wasn’t a member of the Bravo Company Commandos, but things changed, dragging Vikki deep within the Green-Tan war, making her one more Commando in her own way, accepted as such (even unofficially) by everyone in Bravo Company.
Although the connection with other worlds brought with them a whole new variety of different Army Men and toys of all kinds, some time before this discovery a few very particular individuals appeared, mostly female, such as Vikki Grimm.
Her appearance was a human flesh colored doll or an action figure rather than being a single molded color Army Men like the other soldiers of the Green Nation.
Her appearance and molding are a mystery. It was known from her father that she had a mother. But the final answer went to the grave next to the Grimms, father and daughter. The rest of the dolls don’t know or don’t answer.
Before her death in those times, no one asked questions. No one questioned anything. Nobody worried about it. Much less because of the high military commanders to whom these dolls were normally linked, in Vikki’s case Colonel Happy Jack Grimm. But in Portal Runner, Grimm mentions to Sarge that Vikki’s mother passed away, though it is not said how she died.
Vikki had slight different design changes over time, usually with her clothes, hair and eyes. But generally was near identical in each. Most notably if she’s supposed to be a plastic doll or an articulated figure as sometimes she was shown in her photos to have articulation joins while other times she lacked them.
An interesting thing about this changes to note is that when she traveled via Portals to some other worlds her clothes changed instantly to be in tone with every specific world (except the Real World). There are no records of other individuals affected with the same effect at the time. Even her favourite weapon, the bow, changed in design entering other worlds. This weapons was left for her by her mother.
After learning about other types of toys from the Real World, her type were called “dolls” because of their resemblance to these plastic women from the Giant World.
Before Sarge’s Heroes
Vikki Grimm was the daughter of Colonel Grimm, one of the high-ranking officers in the Green Army. Before her involvement in the Sarge’s Heroes series, Vikki was known for her role as a reporter for the Green Army News. Her journalistic skills and determination to uncover the truth made her an independent valuable asset to the Green Nation, even at the costs of going against his nation, always in favor of the truth.
Vikki’s early life was heavily influenced by her father’s military career, which instilled in her a strong sense of duty and justice. She often found herself at odds with her father due to his secrecy about military operations and the origins of the Tan Army’s new weapons. This tension drove her to pursue her own investigations, leading her to uncover critical information about the Tan Army’s activities. This lead her to be the star reporter of the Green Army News.
Her background as a reporter and her fearless nature set the stage for her later adventures with Sarge Hawk and the Green Army. Vikki’s resourcefulness and bravery were evident even before she became directly involved in the battles against the Tan Army. His unknown singularity as a doll and not as an Army Men (although this is discussed) is highlighted as much smarter than his one -color pairs.
Personal diary
In her personal diary left behind after her death, which was leaked to the media by Butterscotch years later, she wrote that some time before the events of Sarge’s Heroes and the public knowledge of the portals, a soldier told her about the other world, and he showed it to her, which prevented her from revealing it to the public.
She had been following her father’s activities for some time, spying on him from behind his office door. What she had been investigating was very little, but when realizing that the truth was too shocking to reveal it so abruptly to the public, thanks to that Green Army men, she changed her mind. After this singular and unknown event, she even collaborated with her government to cover up the portals.
But finally changed at the beginning of the events of Sarge’s Heroes, who adventured her to report the portals once and for all.
Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes
Vikki gets captured in the Black Forest while reporting about how the Tan army gets all of their super weapons.
She uses the opportunity of her capture to her advantage by giving Sarge a video container (although not visible) during their encounter after the level “Fort Plastro” that has information about the Tans’ attack. She got this information from Plastro himself by tricking him.
But after “Showdown” Plastro realizes that Vikki shared the information with the Green army. Plastro puts Vikki in the kitchen (human world) where Sarge has to rescue her.
After her rescue, rather than return to her father, attempts to follow Hawk, which leads to her capture by Plastro who uses her as a hostage.
During the final confrontation between Sarge and Plastro in the Bathroom, she’s dropped to the ground when Plastro attacks Sarge with a Flamethrower, in a moment of quick thinking, she grabs Plastro by the leg, allowing Sarge to defeat Plastro and escape back to the Plastic World where she’s reunited with her father.
Blade’s Revenge
Both Sarge Hawk and Vikki Grimm were heavily involved in the events of Blade’s Revenge.
On several occasions during the campaign, Vikki conducted interviews and news reports about Blade and his exploits, as well as his mistakes.
From mission 1 (Plastic is Power) Hawk served in a mission intelligence role, providing details and explaining the situation when the helicopters arrived. On some occasions he shared this role with Vikki. Although it could also be said that he was a kind of commander for Blade, complementing Colonel Grimm.
During mission 7 “Roach Motel” during Blade’s defense of the Green bases from Von Beige’s attack, Vikki found out the source from which attacking giant cockroaches emerged and had a plan to eliminate them. With the help of Blade from the air, Vikki filled a Truck with explosives, crossed the battlefield and blew up the source from which these monsters emerged, jumping at the last moment and running to a helipad to be rescued by Blade. Although some sources say that he actually didn’t make it because he didn’t arrive on time and she had to be assisted in escaping by Hawk with a Jeep.
In mission 10, “Beauty and the Beast”, Blade had to choose between protecting Hawk or Vikki from the air, for an assault on a Tan radar dish. It is not clear who he chose and who he did not choose, but surely who was ignored must have been very angry with him. Of course, the code name of the mission is a joke: Vikki is the Beauty and Hawk is the Beast.
Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes 2
Vikki appears on the historic records first as a reporter for the Green Plastic News, reporting about General Plastro’s Plastrification in the other world. She closes off her report by stating that the Green Nation was actively destroying the portals that led to the Real World.
She appears later on during a meeting with Col. Grimm and Sgt. Hawk, stating that she’s unaware of how the Tan forces can last so long in the other world without being plastered.
She later assists Bravo Company during their mission to Dr. Madd’s castle and spots both the doctor and his anti-Plastrification serum. She and Sgt. Hawk return to inform Col. Grimm of the serum, where the two are introduced to Brigitte Bleu.
She later appears to report the signing of the peace papers between Col. Grimm and Field Marshal Tannenburg, but is then kidnapped by General Plastro’s new forces.
She’s kept chairtied in Plastro’s Toy Store headquarters where she tries to convince Brigitte into distrusting Plastro to no avail.
After Plastro’s failed invasion of the Blue Nation and Brigitte’s apparent desertion, Plastro moves Vikki to a Gum Dispenser machine as bait for Sgt. Hawk.
Sarge manages to rescue Vikki and together they destroy the trains containing the continental missiles. However, upon seeing Plastro transporting Brigitte to the Pool Table, they decide to split with Vikki going to destroy the remaining missiles and Sgt. Hawk going to rescue Brigitte.
After Hawk’s capture by Brigitte, Vikki leads the search for him in a helicopter and manages to spray him with Anti-Plastrification serum and is present when the heroes corner Plastro and Brigitte, which leads to Plastro’s capture and Brigitte’s escape.
The strange “Evil Vikki” incident
“You are a disgrace to the Green Uniform” – Green Army Head of Staff
After the Green Army used the plastic of Hawk and his Commandos to create a Super Soldier, they needed some time to recover and return to action. After several weeks, the only activity Sergeant Hawk could do at first was to review his skills at Bootcamp. It was on that occasion that something took over him, attacking his allied soldiers.
It is assumed that it was something that went wrong with the experiment, which caused it to not be done again. But at the end of that temporary madness, Hawk was able to recover almost immediately, but in doing so he was attacked at the Bootcamp exit by a Vikki double of unknown origin.
This femme fatale equipped with a Bazooka was just like Vikki Grimm, but in a Gray uniform. She didn’t last too long, Hawk was forced to finish her off, which is why it was never known where she came from or what this whole incident was about. But the theory is that, along with Hawk’s loss of sanity, Dr. Madd had something to do with all of this.
Army Men Advance
A new battle was fought. The Tan Army planned to dominate the world using Alien technology. The Green agents reported that Plastro had plans that threatened global security, not just the Green Nation. This would affect both the Plastic World and the Real World.
Previous attempts to discover his plans were thwarted. Riff was captured and Scorch disappeared.
It was up to Sarge Hawk and Vikki Grimm to rescue Riff & Scorch, and thwart Plastro’s plans for global conquest with Alien tech.
One of the most “top secret” Tan’s secret bases
Sgt. Hawk & news reporter Vikki Grimm visited Area 41, the Tan secret base, one night of 2001 during Army Men Advance campaign mission. There he had to fight his way to reach Hangar 13, defeating Tan soldiers and Grey Aliens as well. It is not known for sure what were the motivations of these Aliens, if they were working with the Tan or simply were an independent faction. The only clue thrown by Hawk report was that at the base where they were also there was a starry flying saucer. So maybe in the confusion Hawk and Vikki were confronted by the Aliens when they were considered enemies.
For those times Plastro was planning to use Alien technology to assault to the Green Nation. Hawk entered to the heart of the Alien World, the Area 41 to frustrate Plastro’s plans.
But later, despite having achieved victory over the Tan Army, Plastro got a flying saucer using reverse engineering. So after the Green Army defeated his army, Plastro was the last man to fall, fighting Sgt. Hawk & Vikki.
Portal Runner
Vikki Grimm, star reporter for the Green Plastic News, gets bored when General Plastro gets captured. Hearing that Hawk goes on a dangerous mission, she goes after him, in spite of a good story for the news. Taking her camera with her, she takes several pictures on the way.
Upon rescuing Sarge from the gingerbread men in his mission, she reports back to her father.
She starts an argument, saying she had to go because she hasn’t had a decent story in months, and also stating that Hawk wouldn’t have made it with her. Frustrated that Hawk snitched on her, she calls him snitch and leaves for her army base. As she walks back towards base, a soldier gives her a package from an anonymous sender. Upon opening it, she finds a rock, which breaks open to reveal a dinosaur. Curious, she digs around inside the package and finds a map. She says quietly to herself, “The story of your life awaits you. Follow the map and seek out the one called rage. Tell no one, leave now.”
She leaves for the Lost Caves portal, and gets thrown into the prehistoric portal, along with a lion. She befriends the lion, and calls him Leonardo, Leo the Lion for short.
When she makes it out and into the Medieval World, she helps a wizard who helps her in return, making quick haste for Brigitte Bleu’s castle.
Telling Leo to wait at the edge of the moat, she defeats Brigitte’s dragon and goes inside the Castle to stop Brigitte.
Upon entering, she gets captured and Leo is left to find her.
Bleu then leaves her magical compact on the floor of Vikki’s cage and leaves, leaving Vikki watch helplessly as Hawk, her boyfriend, gets married to Bleu.
But Leo rescues her just in time and they stop the wedding, snapping Hawk out of Bleu’s spell.
Heading for the space world, Vikki, Hawk, and Bleu must work together to save the green army base from the Martian attack.
Bleu still has a mindset on making Hawk hers, but she complies long enough to help Vikki and Hawk save the green army base.
Army Men RTS
Late in the campaign against Blintz, she joins Sarge’s forces after he arrives on the attic, like Sarge, she uses a handgun but has less health.
Sarge’s War: Vikki’s unespected ending
Vikki was one of the victims of Malice’s terrorist attack during the Peace Accords between the Green Nation and the Tan Republic.
Sgt. Hawk didn’t know she would be there, but as soon as he found everyone dead and wondered if by any chance she could have been there, Vikki calls him. She was still alive, although with serious injuries, her body having melted from the belly to the bottom. Her last words were “looks like we won’t be dancing at the ceremony tonight, huh Sarge?” finishing with “i love you Sarge”. A farewell worthy of its ironic but positive tone in difficult moments.
