The light tank is the smallest and fastest type of Army Men tank
Its small size and high speed allow it to dodge enemy shells if handled by skilled plastic hands. Its speed is second only to the Minelayers and APCs.
The firepower, speed, low cost, minimal crew and fast production rate often made this tank the preferred weapon of many Army Men commanders of the past, and many would opt for this vehicle as their main battle tank over heavier than M48 ones. Many tanks were destroyed, but their minimal crews and low costs mean a minor loss compared to a force of M48 tanks of equivalent destructive power.
A light tank can be instantly destroyed by a full power discharge from a real World electric coil. Army Men armies often combine medium and light tanks, using medium tanks at the front to absorb enemy damage, which helps to prolong the light tanks to take advantage of their superior rate of fire, which in the long run results in more damage than that of mediums.
It can run over plastic soldiers and is well suited for doing so due to its speed. Although due to its size and high speed it is more difficult to do so in inexperienced hands.
The relatively weak armor of the light tank means that it cannot match heavy tanks in one against one duels without extremely perfect evasive handling, where any error it’s death warrant.
Compared to the main guns of other tanks, a single shot from it’s cannon deals the least damage compared to those of the medium tank. Furthermore, the slight lack of power of the gun is made up for by the faster reload and rate of fire, ultimately giving the light tank the highest damage rate.
