AA Guns

Any enemy aircraft close to them are guaranteed to be heavily damaged, if not destroyed

In addition to the anti-aircraft jeeps, AA Guns will do all they can to shoot you from the sky. AA Guns are anti-air defense turrets which protect the key installations against any Toy aircraft, helicopters and paratroopers. Many of these are seen in Air Attack 1 & 2. And equipped with twin 40 mm cannons. This also prevents paratrooper drops and air strikes from occurring within the range limits of its gun.

In Army Men RTS this stationary gun mount for defense against enemy Choppers is a must for every army base.

AA Guns in Army Men history:

– Army Men World War, Army Men, Army Men 2, Toys in Space:

Anti-aircraft turrets are structures that appear in several campaigns. They were a very useful weapon, as they negated any air assault, except helicopters and most Real World objects (i.e. magnifying glasses and glue), as long as they occurred on their territory. They can be destroyed, but can be repaired with a Wrench power-up. They were used by all factions.

– Army Men: Air Tactics

In addition to the AA Guns, intelligence had informed HQ of a Matchbox Ballista experimental weapon that the Tan were employing with great success.

– Army Men: Air Combat campaigns (1 & 2)

Although these were actually GTAM automated defenses, this AA Guns were used by the Tan to guard their bases. They fired rockets at the player’s helicopter and could deal some damage, but they don’t have very much health. They mostly appeared in the mid and later missions.

– Army Men: RTS

AA-Guns were a constructible building unitS in Army Men: RTS. They were, as the name implies, extremely potent to Air Units (i.e. the Chopper) and can even counter support packages (i.e. Air Strike) yet were unable to cause damage to ground units, vehicles and infantry.
