Kotsov Plane, aka “The Siamese Devil”
The Kotsov Plane is a formidable twin-engine aircraft designed by the Blue Army, with the help of the Red Army. It’s well known like the P-38 for its distinctive twin fuselage design, with a cockpit each one, and advanced capabilities.
Design:
- Appearance: The plane features a sleek, aerodynamic design with a twin fuselage (twin booms). Each fuselage has a cockpit, making it a two-man aircraft. The fuselage and wings are adorned with various colors, which can be customized to match the colors of different armies. Numbers are displayed on the side of the fuselage.
- Engines: Compared to the P-38, instead of propellers, the plane has powerful twin turbines, with the air intakes for them at the beginning of each fuselage (where are the P-38 propellers). Above each intake are double 50-caliber machine guns.
- Armament: The armament is located in each fuselage, rather than in a central barge between the wings like the P-38. Under each wing, the plane carries three rivet missiles. These missiles, upon impact, fire a metal 4 cm rivet that destroys everything in its path.
Capabilities:
- Versatility: The Siamese Devil is used as a dive bomber, level-flight bomber, ground-attack aircraft, and for photo-reconnaissance missions. Its primary role is as a long-range escort, equipped with two disposable auxiliary fuel tanks under its wings.
- Speed and Maneuverability: The turbine engines provide significant thrust, allowing for high-speed flight and complex aerial maneuvers.
- Durability: The robust design ensures that the Kotsov Plane can withstand significant damage while maintaining operational efficiency.
Role in the Toyverse:
- Primary Function: Serving as a versatile attack aircraft, the Siamese Devil is ideal for both offensive and defensive missions. Its speed, firepower, and adaptability make it a formidable presence in the skies.
- Main Scenario of Operations: The Kotsov Plane saw extensive use during the Great Army Men War, where it was primarily deployed by the Blue Army as a spy fighter. Its ability to arrive quickly and escape, combined with its attack capabilities, allowed it to defend itself from conventional aircraft effectively. The two-pilot configuration enhanced its performance in various tasks. It was also used by the Green Army.
- Modern Upgrades: The updated version of the Siamese Devil now carries an RC Drone (radio control) that is practically undetectable by radars, as it mimics the size and movement of an insect. When escorting bombers, they leave their drones behind to later determine the effectiveness of the attack.
