Fokker Dr 1S
The Bron Von Beige’s Triplane is a modified airplane fighter Fokker Dr 1, informally referred to as the “Beige Triplane”, is a fixed-wing fighter aircraft equipped with three vertically stacked wings, propelled forward by a standard propeller & thrust from a special jet engine, making this attack aircraft capable of vertical/short takeoff and landing operations (V/STOL).
The key performance features of this propeller/jet-powered fighter include not only its V/STOL system, but also firepower, high speed and maneuverability relative to the target aircraft and also have secondary capabilities such as ground attack.
Its great thrust, speed and maneuverability are not compared to its ability to carry weapons, especially its 3 mm machine gun cannons.
While biplane and triplane wing structure has a structural advantage over a monoplane, it produces more drag than a monoplane wing. Improved structural techniques, better materials, and higher speeds made the biplane and triplane configuration obsolete for most purposes by the late Great World War. But in this case Von Beige came to the conclusion that the disadvantage of the air resistance generated by the 3 wings would help the triplane to remain parked in the air with the help of the V/STOL system.
