A marble is a small sphere of glass, alabaster, ceramic, clay, metal, crystal, steel, stone, marble, wood or porcelain that was used in various human children’s games. This is also the name given to some games in which marbles are used. These games are practically universal, and although there are many variants, the essence is almost always the same: throw one or more marbles to try to get close to others or target holes. When you win a hand you usually take the marbles of the other player or the opposing players.

In addition to as a game, marbles were widely used by humans for industrial use, being mainly used inside aerosol containers and in bearings, and currently they continue to be used by Army Men and other toys as a kind of projectile, obstacle, among others. They were also collected by humans.

They vary in size, and most commonly are about 13 mm (1โ„2 in) in diameter.
