Professor Abraham Van Helsing is an experienced, competent Vampire Hunter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Old Professor Van Helsing is an experienced, competent Action Figure<\/a>, but with no more special skills than his mind. However, he emerges as a well-matched adversary to the Count<\/a>, and he is initially the only character who possesses a mind open enough to contemplate and address Dracula’s<\/a> particular brand of evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A doctor, philosopher and metaphysician, Van Helsing arrives on the scene of the Toyverse as versed not only in the modern methods of Medieval World<\/a> medicine, but with an unparalleled knowledge of superstitions and folk remedies. He straddles two distinct worlds, the old and the new: the first marked by fearful respect for tradition, the second by ever-progressing modernity brought by the arrival of the Portals<\/a>, the other worlds<\/a> and the diversity of those toy worlds<\/a>. Unlike his former professional colleagues and scientists from other worlds<\/a>, whose obsession with modern techniques blinds them to the real nature of Vampire’s sickness<\/a>, Van Helsing not only diagnoses the Vampire affliction correctly, but offers the only opportunity for a cure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morally righteous and religiously committed, Van Helsing views his pursuit of Dracula with an air of grandiosity. He envisions his band as \u201cministers of Maker\u2019s own wish,\u201d and assures his comrades that \u201cwe go out as the old knights of the Cross to redeem more\u201d. Hyperbole aside, Van Helsing is the embodiment of unswerving good, the hero he recruits \u201cto set the world free\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
