These attributes allow helicopters to be used in congested or isolated areas where fixed-wing aircraft and many forms of short take-off and landing (STOL) or short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL) aircraft cannot perform without a runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1942, the R-4 became the first helicopter to reach full-scale production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Army Men: Air Attack 2 - Apache helicopters\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hC_iA4heNdI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Apache Helicopter cockpit &amp; Green Army Helicopters attacking Tan Army<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toy Helicopters Features:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The winch:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The winch allows you to acquire valuable boxes &amp; objects from the ground. It will also give you the means to move specific environmental objects crucial to your success in completing some missions. Fortunately, sometimes your on-board computer will lower and raise the winch automatically when you passover an object or power-up. If not, will be you or your support crw. You might not acquire it on the first pass, especially if you are traveling fast, but the lowering of the winch should alert you that something important is below. You may only lower the winch if you are carrying an object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cargo:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Both soldiers and power-ups take up space in the cargo bay. When there are no more empty boxes, your cargo bay is full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There may be times when you come across a needed power-up but your cargo bay is already full. Don\u2019t panic. You can jettison stored power-ups. Just remember, if you jettison a box while in flight it is lost for good (because it will surely break when falls). However, if your \u2018copter is grounded and you remove the box, it appears intact next to the \u2018copter on the ground. You can pick it up and use it later. Don\u2019t even think about getting rid of soldiers while in flight, as they don\u2019t have chutes. However, you may land and deploy the forces during a mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weapons:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>From the <a data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"514\" href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/videogames\/n64\/army-men-air-attack\/\">Air Attack<\/a> era &#8216;Copters carry the most advanced pieces of <a data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2224\" href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/?page_id=2224\">pyrotechnic weaponry<\/a> in the Army Men. Any time you acquire a weapon, it is stored in the cargo bay. The weapon will now be ready to use thanks to the crew (or just you).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Machine Guns:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The Machine Gun is &#8216;Copters workhorse. It is aimed by your co-pilot and isn&#8217;t all that strong, but works just fine for mowing down lines of infantry men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;If they&#8217;re running, I shoot &#8217;em. If they&#8217;re not running, they should be.&#8221;<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/characters\/army-men-characters\/green-army-characters\/woodstock\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"986\">James &#8220;Woodstock&#8221; Marshall<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Rockets:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic straight firing Rocket is a very fast, straight-shooting weapon that packs a wallop but can be difficult to aim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Let &#8217;em loose and watch the show.&#8221;<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/characters\/army-men-characters\/green-army-characters\/rawhide\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"985\">Dave &#8220;Rawhide&#8221; Parker<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Homing Rockets:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The guided Homing Rocket is extremely accurate. Once it is launched, it almost never misses its target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not the size of your Rocket, it&#8217;s how you use it.&#8221;<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/characters\/army-men-characters\/green-army-characters\/hardcore\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"978\">John &#8220;Hardcore&#8221; Lawless<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Swarm Rocket:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swarm Rocket is another tracking weapon. The sheer volume of these powerful rockets makes this the ideal weapon for crowd control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s no where to hide, maggots!&#8221;<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/characters\/army-men-characters\/green-army-characters\/hawk\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"26\">Sarge Hawk<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Napalm:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Shooting Napalm bombs causes a series of explosions across a large area of terrain as the effect of the jellied explosives spread across the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;I just love the smell of Napalm in the morning!!&#8221;<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/armymen.com.ar\/website\/characters\/army-men-characters\/green-army-characters\/bombshell\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"991\">Felicity &#8220;Bombshell&#8221; Wannamaker<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8211; Flares:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Firing a flare calls in reinforcement ground units. Two paratrooper M-80 Infantry suicide Army Men will drop from passing planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Some people like to think jumping out of a airplane at 15ft, with high explosives strapped to your back is crazy.
