AKA Sky Blue Nation or Light Blue Nation
Offsprings of the Blue Nation, they became independent and settled on the Antarctic continent of the Real World.
A Cold history…
The Cyan (or Light Blue) Army Men are now a united nation, but for a long time they were split into two: The Cyan and the Light Blue.
Being very much relegated in importance on the Plastic World, compared to the other nations, when the Portals were discovered, a large part of the population and the army wanted to take advantage of this innovation and explore the Real World, to escape the ever-closer threat of Plastro and his Tan Army.
The government preferred to remain in its place, without attracting attention as always, believing that this would leave them off Plastron’s radar. But that did not stop the soldiers and their families from leaving the Plastic World to look for new opportunities in the Real World.
In 2002, after the vaccines against Plastrification were invented, a large sector of the army and the population were vaccinated and went their separate ways, going to the Real World, while the rest stayed. The strategy of those who left was to take refuge in the frozen areas of the Real World. And since the Portals were right near the cold pole in the north of the Real World, the separatists decided to undertake an exodus to the other extreme, the cold pole in the south of the continent. Just like the Violet nation, this took them many years. But they finally managed to get there and gradually get used to those temperatures, which although plastic itself is quite resistant to cold, the extreme temperatures went beyond any conventional limit. But over time they evolved and made new plastic men who were able to withstand this extreme cold without problems. A great advantage was that in these inhospitable moors the animals were not a problem or impediment.
Meanwhile, in the Plastic World, the Cyans were effectively conquered by Plastro, as were the Violets and Oranges. While the Tans did not exterminate them, they did use their resources and occupied their territories, diminishing the Cyans’ ability to grow in the future, which left them very weak by the time of the Real World War, as they were liberated by the Greens a couple of years later, which left them far behind in the arms race. But the same did not happen with those who went to the Real World…
Years later, during the Real World War, their peers from the Plastic World went to find their peers from the Real World, to reunite and become a strong nation, in addition to warning them of what was coming. But after a military division was sent to find them, the Tan and Red destroyed the Plastic World’s Cyan nation and everyone in it, believing that they had been wiped off the face of the Toyverse just as the Tans did to the Yellows in the past.
When they met, although they reunited, there was a clear difference between those who lived in the frozen lands of the Real World and those who did not: Those who did not were a vibrant Cyan color, while those from the Real World were a paler shade.
Cyan, also called Light Blue Army
“A soldier does not abandon you on the battlefield”
With shades far from Green and Blue, ranging from Cyan to very Light Blue, the Cyan Army became a powerful instrument of their nation when there was access to the Real World, taking refuge in the Antarctic Pole or South Pole of the Real World. Extremely cold and remote places, difficult for any living being or Toykind that could be a threat.
They are now allies of the Army Men Alliance and fought the Orange in the Army Men: Red Alert campaign (the Real World war).
The Light Blue Army (nickname for the army formed in the frozen lands) was able to invent cold defenses that throw freezing ice as if they were flames, which, although they do not cause much damage, do slow down the movement, especially of toys made of other materials.
These defenses were first implemented in the Army Men Warfare campaign.
But then they formed an alliance…
During the Real World War the Cyan Army devised a plan with the Greens: to provoke the Tans and Reds into following them into the frozen wastelands, in order to take advantage of the terrain and the Light Blue’ ability to dominate it. But only the Tans fell in the trap, cementing their defeat in the conflict, leaving only the Reds (who were later aided by the Oranges).
The Oranges became a powerful nation, thanks to the advanced weaponry shared by the Reds. This transformation went unnoticed by many, as the Oranges had been largely ignored. Their newfound strength played a crucial role in the conflict, as their strategic location allowed the Red Army to catch the Green Nation off guard from the rear, complicating the war for the Greens.
Army Men Warfare:
In Army Men Warfare, they introduced misthrower turrets, a formidable addition to the Army Men arsenal.
The Frozen Alliance:
Captain Frost, leader of the Cyan Army, extended an olive branch, the symbol of peace with which the Greens formed the first alliance of nations in the Plastic World. The Aqua Marines and the Orange Army formed an alliance: the Cyan-Orange Pact, aka “Fire & Ice Pact”.
Together, they balanced fire and ice, forging the Real World’s first Elemental Nations. General Fire’s eye patch now bore a snowflake entwined with flames: a symbol of unity.
The Galactic Army, while of the same color, are not related to the Light Blue Nation nor the Blue Nation.
