In the miniature realm of Army Men Strike & Army Men Warfare, where plastic soldiers waged battles across bedroom floors, there existed a contemporary legend: a soldier named Murphy. His story was etched in the annals of toy lore, but it was his transformation that set him apart from the rest of his clones.

The Early Days:

Army Men Strike Murphy

Some years ago Murphy was molded in the vibrant hues of Green, the color of courage and camaraderie. His plastic limbs bore the scars of countless skirmishes against the Tan Army. He was later known as “Murph” to his comrades.

His special military rank helmet was a badge of leadership. responsibility for his personnel, equipment and missions that grow with each advancement. But fate had grander plans for him.

Murphy fought in both modern conflicts under the command of the toy who claims to be a shrunken human. It was in this conflict that he met the rest of his comrades, forming the group “Army Men Strike Team“, composed not only of Plastic Soldiers, but of other types of toys. The Army Men companions were Victoria, Brian, Iron Will, Kaylee, Rod, Bull (formerly Creighton), Spencer, Tracy, Stark, Tornado, Rock Howard, Top Player, Doctor Comedian and Dr. S.

The Virtual Pet Incident: Murphy’s Metamorphosis

One moonless night, Murphy’s platoon was ambushed by the Red Army. All of them were killed, except Murphy. They overwhelmed him, capturing him alive, torturing him to the point of tearing off some of his limbs to obtain information.

Close from there, in their secret laboratory, the Red Army scientists conducted Dr. Madd’s forgotten theoretical experiments: a melding plastic with pixels, reality with imagination. And so, during Victoria’s rescue operation, Murphy was accidentally fused with a Virtual Pet, a relic from the Real World early 2000′.

The Virtual Pet’s digital essence merged with Murphy’s plastic form. His arm void was replaced by a pixelated 3D print. But within that new arm lay power: a golden arm that defied the laws of both worlds. It shimmered with ancient code, reflecting even the most powerful death rays: Functional technology in both worlds!

He was labeled like a SSS3 (Special Super Soldier 3) being his transformation an evolution of the second form (SS2) but from unknown exact circumstances.

The Golden Arm

Murphy emerged from captivity, his once-Green arm now a gleaming testament to his sacrifice & loss. The Red Army gasped… their captive had become something more than a normal Army Men. His golden arm absorbed sunlight, storing its energy like a miniature sun. When he raised it, it refracted laser beams (turning them into harmless rainbows).

This arm was technically made of gold, and gold is the most powerful metal in the Real World. Highly coveted by humans, to the point that it was probably one of the reasons why they disappeared.

But the arm came at a cost. Murphy’s memories blurred: the line between Plastic World and Real World faded. He dreamed of feeding digital pets, of pixelated landscapes beyond the bedroom window. His comrades watched, torn between awe and concern.

But the strangest thing is the fact that a soldier made of plastic has a 100% functional golden arm, without the need for technology or a power source, as in other cases. The arm is part of the plastic being, and scientists cannot explain it.

This reminded the few veteran G1 Army Men present of what happened to Sarge Hawk in the past, where he lost everyone too. But in this case Murphy was tortured and severed by the Red Army, and then an accident caused a mutation in him. It was a variable and unstable scenario that could turn into anything.

Alternate Universe variants?

The events of Murphy Prime’s mutation are so improbable, that the fact that what have appeared what are practically “clones” of him, suggests that there really are alternate worlds, parallel timelines where each world and individual has a version of themselves that made different decisions. Humans suggested the existence of these alternative versions in the theoretical documents they left behind, after their disappearance from their world.

It is very complicated to explain them. We suggest you read this section about it: Parallel Universes.
