Characters from the Army Men history
Each line of Toys, like the Action Figures, manufactures thousands of copies of the same characters, all of which use the same name. On the other hand, surely the Human children, now extinct, named their toys the same as some other human child on a distant continent. But that doesn’t matter… each toy ultimately has something that makes it unique, beyond the name: a scratch, discoloration in its paint, the lack of a limb or simply choosing another name, etc. No matter how similar they are to each other, everyone is an individual.
Some names may be repeated, but this is because each “species of toy” often uses the same names without prior knowledge that other toys do as well. There may be 2 or 3 “Blade” in this character section of this website: one being the Army Men called “Captain Blade” and another being a Ninja action figure of the same name. Many times they are better differentiated by having other names and not just an AKA, like “William Blade” the Army Men and the ninja action figure is actually just “Blade”.
