Common knowledge when piloting a ‘copter
Landing
To pick up Plastic Soldier and other toys, you need to land at sites designated by a ring of landing lights or the H for helipads. Simply hover over the site for a moment and the ‘copter lands automatically if computer assisted, or just land by yourself. Pay attention to your ‘copter’s shadow because that’s where you’re flying relative to the ground. You might need to adjust your hovering position slightly over the site before the on-board computer can land the ‘copter.
The Beacon
Once you’ve landed, you can call any nearby Green troopers to the ‘copter. They’ll come running and board one by one. You can also call only the VIP or Troop Commander come to the beacon. If your soldiers get distracted along the way, you might have to call them a few times with your Beacon. You can also drop a beacon from the air to direct soldiers to your current location if you wish, but you can only pick them up if you’ve landed in a Landing Zone. The size of your ‘copter’s cargo bay is represented by the series of boxes in the cockpit screen. When a soldier enters the ‘copter, he takes up one space in the cargo bay. This is important to remember when deploying forces.
Deploying Forces
The ground troops commander and his men aren’t aboard just for the ride. They’ve got a job to do! To deploy forces, land at the Landing Zone (H). There they will be ready to go!. Wish them luck!
