Military knowledge & terminologies
– AKA
Is an abbreviation for ‘also known as’. aka is used especially when referring to someone’s nickname or stage name.
I.E.: Jack Grimm, aka “Happy” (Happy Jack Grimm) was the nick name of Colonel Grimm even after being Colonel. He obtained it from his teammates in the service, in an ironic way, for being always serious and never smiling.
– AWOL
“absent without leave” used to say that a member of the armed forces is away without permission.
I.E.: “During the Grey World War soldiers who left their post were regularly charged with going AWOL”.
– Elitism

Your troopers in command gain experience in missions, enabling them to become elite troopers. Small yellow stars will appear in the Squad Array when they are selected. The more stars, the better the soldier. Elite troopers have more hit points and are more accurate with their weapons.
This can be seen represented in the squadrons, platoons, companies and military divisions.
– HQ
The abbreviation HQ may refer to: HQ, abbreviation for Headquarters. Do not mistake with HQ (video), abbreviation for “High-quality” video.
– KIA
“killed in action” used for those Army Men who are a confirmed kill, who died in combat.
I.E.: “I can confirm by my own eyes that Major Gooding is KIA”
– MIA
“missing in action” used for saying that a member of the armed forces has not returned from fighting in a war but is not known for certain to be dead:
I.E.: “High numbers of military were still listed as MIA”. or “This is done routinely to identify the remains of MIA soldiers”.
Before the Real World and the other worlds were discovered, this term was used for “Melted in Action”. But then that changed, clearly, for universal communication reasons. For MIA in the past the Army Men used “DIS” abbreviation of “Disappeared”.
– PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental and behavioral disorder that develops into the Army Men and other Toykind from experiencing a traumatic event, such as warfare, animals attack, Real World storms, or other threats on a Toy’s life. Symptoms may include disturbing thoughts, feelings, or dreams related to the events, mental or physical distress to trauma-related cues, attempts to avoid trauma-related cues, alterations in the way a person thinks and feels, and an increase in the fight-or-flight response. These symptoms last for more than a month after the event. A toy with PTSD is at a higher risk of suicide and intentional self-harm.
I.E.: The Renegade Green Colonel
– RW
“Real World” abbreviation, used the more when talking about time, length, weight, etc. from that world.
– AFK
