Green Eaters

Former Tan Army special forces from Plastro’s time in power

These Tan Soldiers use a deadly combination of cutting edge weapons, crack training, and old-fashioned anti-green killing fury.

When Plastro renounced the conquest and destruction of the Greens, most of these soldiers separated from the Tan Army and formed Lord Malice’s renegade forces.

The Green Eaters Project

Starting in 1996, the Tan military initiated a new training program known as the “Green Eaters Project”. This program selected orphaned Tan plastic civilians and soldiers at a very early stage of their formation (and later included other types of toys) to be raised as highly disciplined Tan soldiers. These soldiers were subjected to a strict military regimen, trained to be merciless killers of Greens, and conditioned to follow orders without any moral considerations. Those who were deemed physically or mentally unfit were eliminated. The survivors of this rigorous training emerged as emotionless and dedicated combatants, with no knowledge or understanding of the outside world.

The “Green Eaters Project” was a Tan military initiative launched by the Plastro government to develop a breed of supersoldiers intended for combat against the Greens and to surpass regular troops. This project introduced a new recruitment and training program where military officers selected newly molded plastic men, and later other toys, to be integrated into the Tan Army Special Forces. Over the years, these plastic men underwent intense mental and physical conditioning, instilling discipline, strength, and unwavering focus on military goals, effectively transforming them into sociopaths. This process involved eradicating any signs of empathy or mercy by instilling hatred for the Green Army Men and demonstrating the harsh realities of plastic warfare by executing Green prisoners of war using flamethrowers and, subsequently, magnifying glasses.

Any delayed men or those who failed the program were ruthlessly executed, highlighting the harsh environment the toys were subjected to. By 2003, the first group of recruits had completed their training. However, in 2004, this brutal training program was shut down by Plastro himself, just before the peace treaty between the Green and Tan Nations, as a gesture of goodwill demanded by the Greens. Despite this, the already deployed Green Eaters remained active, except for those who defected and went AWOL under the leadership of Colonel Lord Malice. By 2013, the Green Eaters had been deployed to numerous battlefields and undertaken various missions.

During the indoctrination process, young recruits frequently heard Plastro’s commanding voice during their training, reinforcing their roles as soldiers. They were instructed to show no mercy towards the Greens, as compassion was deemed a fatal weakness. To emphasize this brutality, young recruits were forced to witness defenseless Green soldiers being burned alive, as well as real-world animals like pigeons and kittens being killed and devoured by packs of ferocious dogs.

The soldiers of the GE Project utilized all the military funding available to them. They wore camouflage uniforms, wielded metallic projectile weapons, and donned space suits to endure various hostile environments. These soldiers were highly disciplined, often marching in formation without displaying any emotion. They would enter the battlefield, engage the enemy, and only return if their mission was accomplished. They showed no sympathy, engaged in no battle talk, and felt no sorrow for fallen comrades. Their sole focus was on completing the mission. When not in combat, they were stationed in barracks, showing no sense of camaraderie. Instead, they stood at attention, rigidly awaiting orders. Their barracks were equipped with firing ranges, a gym for exercises, and other support facilities to keep the recruits in peak condition. The bodies of deceased soldiers were simply discarded and dumped into a landfill for plastic recycling.

During the Real World War, Project Green Eaters soldiers were deployed and participated in the Red Alert Incident. After their success in these operations and the collapse of the peace treaty between the Greens and the Tans, which ended with Plastro’s death in 2004, new strategies were developed to enhance the effectiveness of Project Green Eaters. This led to a second-generation program utilizing recombinant PDNA (plastic DNA), where subjects were crafted as Super Soldiers from the beginning, similar to the Greens’ Omega Soldier program. Colonel Braunen, dispatched by Tan Headquarters, oversaw this aspect of the project at the Green Eaters’ new base. It was demonstrated there that a single second-generation soldier could outperform three first-generation soldiers on his own.
